As teams grow, so does the complexity of communication.
For instance, a team of 3 has just 3 lines of communication.
But add just 3 more people, and suddenly, you're dealing with 15 lines of communication. With 8 people, that number jumps to 28 lines of communication.
The more lines of communication, the greater the risk of miscommunication.
Once your team exceeds five members, keeping everyone on the same page can become a time-consuming and frustrating challenge.
